Weintek HMIs with ATEX Zone 2/22 Certification

Weintek have announnced that 5 models have been certified to ATEX Zone 2/22.  Now Weintek HMIs can be deployed where in hazardous environments where a potentially explosive atmosphere can exist.  Typically appliocations such as the manufacture of chemicals & petrochemicals, grain processing and manufacturing processes such as Automotive Paint Shops all require Ex certification at one level or another.

As has been said before in this BLOG the ATEX Zonal System defines the level of hazard and the technical level of compliance that equipment operating within the Zones is required to meet to ensure safe operation. Correctly installed in an ATEX Zone 2 & 22 enclosure certain model of the Weintek HMI range can be placed directly in the hazardous environment thus avoiding the need for expensive custom built explosion proof enclosures.

The newly certified models include the 7.0" 8071iE, 8073iE, the 9.7" 8090XE, 8092XE offering both the single and dual Ethernet port versions and the 15.0" 8150XE.
